Sherpa Camera System
The Sherpa portable rapid deployment surveillance system is a unique product in the CCTV industry. Requiring only two people with no special tools or equipment to deploy the system in minutes. The Sherpa system can deploy a number of PTZ camera heads at the top of various suitable poles. The cameras can then be controlled remotely from a single location either by radio transmission (1.2Kms), 3G, GSM, WiFi or any other recognised transmission system. Once in place a camera can remain active for up to 48 hours. Video recording can be either remote, locally at the camera head, or both.

Deployed by Police forces and Local Councils acroess the UK, the Sherpa system was developed to provide remote eyes in areas where crimes are most regularly committed or where short term portable surveillance is required.
The system places a remote weatherproof camera atop any lamp post. Once in place the camera can be remotely controlled giving 360 surveillance of the area. The unit is controlled remotely using any one of six different, highly secure, wireless technologies, allowing the system controllers to be positioned anywhere in the world.
The system has seen widespread use in the enforcement of crowd control, temporary city events, as well as major national security events. The system has also been deployed as an arson prevention and detection tool by three Arson Task Forces in the UK.
The unique lightweight design of Sherpa easily allows it to climb 85% of lamp posts in use around the world including the latest tapered poles. The system can be deployed by two people in less than 5 minutes and will operate without further intervention for 60 hours or more.
