OFA Training

Did you know that WorksafeBC has requirements regarding First Aid equipment and training in every workplace in BC? If you work in an office environment with more than 10 employees that is less than 20 minutes from a hospital, you are required to have a Level 1 first aid kit and someone on staff with an Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 certificate. As the risk of injury increases, the requirements increase; for example, in a Maintenance Shop environment a Level 1 certified attendant and first aid kit might be required for as few as 6 employees.  Is your workplace in compliance with these regulations?
