NEW BASIC SECURITY TRAINING
Concord Security provides the new Basic Security Training course at our in-house training facility, the Concord Career Centre. Basic Security Training is a pre-requisite for security licensing, and is required to work as a Security Guard in British Columbia.
BST prepares students for work as Security Guards in a variety of environments from doormen at Clubs, to Security Control Centre Operators in Shopping Centres. Topics covered include: the role of private security, professionalism and ethics, legal responsibilities and authority, report writing, emergency services and response, and personal safety.
The Concord Career Centre supplements the basic framework of the course with a scenario based approach that prepares students for real life application of their studies. A Basic Security Training Certificate from Concord means more than basic training – it means a prepared employee from a respected institution.

Additional courses in Conflict Resolution, Customer Service, Occupational First Aid (Level One and Two), Cultural Diversity, and Emergency Preparedness are also offered through the Concord Career Centre.
