President / Chief Executive Officer - John Henry
John has held several senior positions within the security industry including that of Western Regional Manager with a major national security firm prior to founding Concord Security in 1983. His combination of security experience and business knowledge has helped build Concord Security into the company that it is today.
Vice President - Clare Edmundson
Clare has over ten years experience in the property management industry and has been with Concord Security since 1985. Mrs. Edmundson has served as president of the BC Shopping Centre Managers Association. Her background enables Concord Security to offer a unique understanding of the special needs and problems that arise in the operation of retail and multi use Centres.
General Manager - Mark Forward
Mark has been with Concord Security since 1992. He was a former Security Site Supervisor for such sites as Harbour Centre and Bentall Centre. Mark has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and is a Certified General Accountant. He is in charge of the day-to-day operations at Concord Head Office.
Director, Major Accounts - Sean Kelly
Sean has an extensive background as an operations and personnel manager, and has been directly involved in the hiring, supervision, training, and assigning of personnel. He has an extensive security and management background and has been employed in the security industry since 1986. Sean's role as Director of Major Accounts is to ensure the needs of our key clients are met and to bring new and innovative ideas to the properties he manages. Sean served for several years on the board of the BC Shopping Centre Association.
Director, Major Accounts - Frank Naso, CPP
A Certified Protection Professional, Frank has over 20 years of experience in the security industry, law enforcement, and corrections, as well as a degree in Criminology and post-baccalaureate studies in Administrative Management. His work with private post secondary institutions has enabled Concord to establish the Concord Career Centre, a registered private post-secondary institution. His experience and knowledge serve his clients' well in his role as Director of Major Accounts where he is able to offer valuable advice and support to numerous key clients.
Account Manager / Manager, Mobile Division - Mario Kalinowski
Mario has been in the security industry since 2002. Mario is a certified BST instructor and has held various managerial positions within the industry, including personnel and training management. Mario specializes in consulting and organizing security requirements for large scale special events. He currently provides quality management to a number of Concord’s clients and had a key role in managing security at a high profile event site during the 2010 Olympics.
Emergency Services & Risk Management - Sandor Maradi
Sandor has over seventeen years experience in the security field with ten years experience in a management capacity. The diverse experiences gained in retail, commercial, industrial environments, emergency disaster planning, and an extensive background in event security have proven to serve our clients well. Sandor co-chairs Concord Security's Occupational Health and Safety Program and is very knowledgeable with WCB related matters in addition to being an accredited expert in Emergency Planning. In addition, Sandor had a key role in managing secuirty at a high profile event site during the 2010 Olympics.
Manager, Operations - James Blight
James has been in the security industry since 1992 and with Concord Security since 1997 holding supervisory positions at the Metrotown Properties for ten years before being promoted into a management role. He has managed security for special events and personal protection. As Operations Manager, James is responsible for ensuring comprehensive training and quality assurance of staff and services in addition to a number of projects critical to Concord's operation. In 2010, James is serving as Vice President of the BC Shopping Centre Association.
Manager, Field Operations - Phil Wadden
Phil comes to us from a ‘Fortune 500’ company that has been an innovator and leader in customer service for almost 50 years. His tenacious nature and commitment to detail make him a welcome asset to the Concord team. Phil has expertise in communications, computer systems, electronic and mechanical equipment, as well as data analysis. Phil is responsible for providing technical support to our clients for all security equipment, providing statistical analyses on information collected through Smartguard 2.3TM, and assisting with the development of Building Standing Orders.
Manager, Human Resources - David Desormeaux
David brings a wealth of human resources experience from a variety of industries over the past decade including hospitality, property management, gaming and high tech. David holds a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management from Royal Roads University and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. David leverages his human resources management expertise and his team’s collective strengths to provide tactical and consultative support to supervisors and management while maximizing the employee’s positive working experience with Concord Security.
Assistant Manager, Human Resources - Ken Cackler
Ken has been employed with Concord Security since 2000. His experience working in the field at highprofile sites such as Pacific Centre, Metrotown and Richmond Centre, and knowledge of their needs, allowed an easy transition into a Recruitment role within the office. Now in the Assistant HR Manager role, he lends support to our Supervisors for their day-to-day and staffing issues. Along with overseeing the Serve and Secure program for our client, Cadillac Fairview, Ken is also the chair of Concord’s OH&S committee.
Manager, Finance - Ed Ko
Ed joined Concord in 2008, bringing skills he refined at a top international credit company. He has been working in the finance and accounting industries since 1990.
Coordinator, Payroll and Benefits - Betty Toy
Betty joined Concord in 2010 and came with experience coordinating payroll in the security industry during the Olympics. She enjoys the daily challenges of her responsibilities of payroll and benefits, in answering questions about payroll and benefits for the employees and in meeting the payroll deadline.
